The republicans (who control every state office for the first time in history) have not been shy about running state questions designed to alter the state constitution that was built on a century of democratic control. The fact these same republican leaders continue to ignore the regents/ higher education system developed by the same democrat control is inexcusable. No reasonable person can look at our higher education system and not come away thinking it is full of political pork, favor, and budgetary excess.. My question is –why do republicans who rush to call themselves conservative continue to let this sacred cow exist untouched? One has to wonder if they are at odds with the “good ole boy democratic system” after all.
