Is Tulsa’s First Non-partisan Election The Most Partisan Ever?

In the Tulsa mayor’s race, both candidates, incumbent Dewey Bartlett and former Mayor Kathy Taylor, are rolling out partisan political stars to help make their case. This, in a “non-partisan” election.

Taylor unveiled former Democrat Mayor and former NBA star Kevin Johnson at a rally in north Tulsa to help launch her get our the vote efforts. Johnson is Sacramento’s first African-American mayor.
Former presidential candidate Rick Sanatorum came to Tulsa and  joined Congressman Jim Bridenstine and Senator Jim Inhofe at an event endorsing Bartlett. Bartlett also has endorsements from Governor Fallin
and Senator Tom Coburn.
