Republican John Pfeiffer Seeks HD38 Seat

pfiefferJohn Pfeiffer of Orlando, a fifth generation Logan county farmer and rancher and recent Marine Corps veteran, today announced he will seek the Republican nomination in House District 38.

The seat is now held by term-limited Rep. Dale DeWitt.

During my service in the Middle East, I saw the significance of freedom, and I determined that I will never again take it for granted,” said Pfeiffer, who deployed as a Marine in Afghanistan in 2011. “I see our freedoms slowly eroding here at home, and I can’t help but become involved.”

Pfeiffer joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2009, after graduating from Mulhall-Orlando High School and attending Oklahoma State University.
“It was an honor to serve my country, but now I’m back home, working the very same land my great-grandparents farmed. I aim to bring the same determination and strength I learned in the military to the position of state representative,” Pfeiffer said. “Our rural communities deserve a strong, energetic leader who will support agriculture and fight to protect individual freedoms every day.”

A former FFA district star farmer and president of his high school 4-H club and FFA Chapter, Pfeiffer has a strong connection to agriculture. He grew up breeding cows and driving tractors on his family’s farm. He is a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association, Oklahoma Farm Bureau and the American Angus Association.

Pfeiffer is a decorated Marine NCO whose personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and many others.

Pfeiffer resides in Orlando and is a member of the Orlando United Methodist Church.

Yesterday, May 29th, a young man by the name of John Pfeiffer knocked on my door. Although, I did not recognize him, I recognized the genuine smile on his face.
As we introduced are selves and spoke about our thoughts of how we want our communities to continue to be strong in faith and our quality of life, I realized this man that stands before me is a man with strong convictions. A person that will literally go door to door to share that he believes in the greatest state, in the greatest country. To trudge from county to county, town to town, and from home to home, to let us know he will standup and he will make our voices heard.
In my opinion, he cares enough to come to my home and shake my hand to show me that he will not forget who he is or where he has came from. That he does care about our constitution and our freedom. This is the type of person that I want to represent me.
