“The report today from State Treasurer Ken Miller citing the ongoing strengthening of Oklahoma’s economy shows how Oklahoma’s energy sector is driving revenue growth for the state through robust oil and gas exploration and production. The recent passage of HB 2562, which modernizes Oklahoma’s gross production tax code and establishes permanent tax rates, gives producers the certainty they need to keep investing capital in Oklahoma. The implementation of sound tax policies like those contained in HB 2562 will keep our economy on track for continued steady growth. Governor Mary Fallin, Lt. Governor Todd Lamb and the leaders in the Oklahoma legislature recognized the importance of these policies and we applaud them for their efforts to make them law.”
