Bingman Lashes Brecheen Opponents, Cites ‘Unconscionable’ Step

Senate President Pro Tem Brian Bingman weighed in on the controversy swirling in the Senate District 6 race, saying Senator Josh Brecheen’s opponents have taken an “unconscionable” step.

Those in that category, apparently, are the State Chamber of Commerce and the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association.

“Oklahoma’s business community has a friend in Josh Brecheen. To think that any entity would side against a pro-jobs, pro-Oklahoma member like Senator Brecheen is unconscionable.

“Lest we forget, Senator Brecheen supported lawsuit reform and workers’ compensation reform–two key legislative items that have significantly and positively impacted businesses across the state. Additionally, Senator Brecheen’s 100% rating with the NFIB and a lifetime RIED score of 91% speak volumes of his support and commitment to Oklahoma’s business community.

“It is disappointing to see these unnecessary actions taken by organizations that typically do an excellent job advancing a pro-growth, pro-business agenda at the state capitol. Objective and rational thought have seemingly lost out to emotion in this instance.  Making decisions with a short term mindset, rather than with long term goals is not beneficial for Oklahoma in the end.

“Senator Brecheen continues to fight for a better and more prosperous Oklahoma, and I unashamedly stand behind him.”

Proud of Bingman’s leadership and clarity! The State Chamber is woefully wrong to oppose Brecheen – their better judgement is lacking. Even Tom Coburn believes that Josh Brecheen is the best man for the job.

“Even Tom Coburn believes that Josh Brecheen is the best man for the job.”

He worked for him for years and claimed he was like a son? Obviously he’s going to back him. Who cares.

    The voters care.
