Labor Commissioner Mark Costello released the following statement today in response to the FY 2016 appropriated budget.
“The appearance of a 33.75% increase to the Oklahoma Department of Labor’s appropriations is misleading. The result is the occurrence of moving the non-appropriated Multiple Injury Fund (215 fund) from ODOL to The Workers Compensation Commission,” said Costello.
“The budget hole to ODOL was filled by the legislature with appropriated funds creating the impression of a 33.75% increase. The actual funding stream to ODOL has a net ZERO increase.”
