Alec Baldwin isn’t happy with Sen. Jim Inhofe and the actor shared his thoughts with his more than 700,000 followers on Twitter by calling the Republican senator an “oil whore” – drawing a scathing response from the Oklahoma Republican.
“Is there a bigger Oil Whore alive than James Inhofe?” @alecbaldwin tweeted late Saturday.
Minutes later, Baldwin wrote, “Oil Whore Jim Inhofe has betrayed every man and woman who lost their livelihood on the Gulf due to BP’s overwhelming negligence…”
Then, after declaring, “We gotta get rid of Inhofe in 2014. He’ll be 79,” the “30 Rock” star tweeted at two Twitter users: “We need to have Inhofe retire to a solar-powered gay bar.”
Inhofe spokesman Matt Dempsey said in an email Monday morning, “These kind of outrageous statements made recently on Twitter by Robert Kennedy Jr. and Alec Baldwin stand in stark contrast to the civil debate Senator Inhofe had with Rachel Maddow last week.”
Dempsey added, “In truth, the far left and Hollywood elites have lost on their pet cause of global warming. The only way to get attention these days is to make outlandish and irresponsible comments on Twitter.”
This is at least the second time in a month that the Oklahoma senator has come under attack for his energy policies on Twitter.

If one were to consider the source, it becomes very easy to discount the statement. Unfortunately, our educational system and the national main-stream media have brain washed a large portion of the population out of the “considering” mode.
