Lankford Calls Out President Over Cuba Policy

Senator James Lankford is joined by Senator Mario Diaz-Balart in calling out President Obama for his recent Presidential Policy Directive concerning the regime in Cuba. Last week, the President eased the economic embargo between the U.S. and Cuba. Lankford calls the move an overreach of Executive authority regarding congressionally-enacted sanctions with Cuba and contradicts America’s commitment to human rights.

The duo wrote a letter to the President outlining their concerns with the change in policy.

Lankford has been critical of Obama’s softening relations with Cuba and its Communist regime.
