Former Tulsa City Councilor Skip Steele and three other candidates filed Monday for the vacant Oklahoma House District 75 seat.

Joining Steele were fellow Republican Nic Berg, 21, of Broken Arrow and Democrats Karen Gaddis, 67, of Tulsa and Jamie Smith, 29, of Broken Arrow.

Steele, 67, served on the City Council from 2011 to 2014.

HD 75 runs roughly from the intersection of the Broken Arrow Express and Interstate 44 to the Wagoner County line between 31st and 61st streets and includes portions of Tulsa and Broken Arrow.

The seat became open in early February with the resignation of incumbent Dan Kirby.

A primary election will be held May 9, with a general election on July 11. Filing continues through Wednesday.
