Edmondson Serious about Run for Governor in 2018

It appears the decision has all been but made by former Attorney General Drew Edmondson to run for Governor on behalf of Democrats in 2018. Sources tell The McCarville Report Edmondson has made the decision to run for the nomination and is readying an announcement.

A Facebook page called Draft Drew Edmondson for Governor has grabbed the attention of several online Democrats.

So far, the race for the Democratic nomination could include House Minority Leader Scott Inman and former Senator Connie Johnson. Former Congressman Dan Boren and former Rep. Joe Dorman, who ran against Governor Fallin during the last race, have announced they will not be making a run for the Governor’s office in 2018.

Edmondson most recently led the effort against State Question 777, the Right to Farm proposal. It was soundly defeated by voters during the November General Election.
