Congressman Frank Lucas was appointed to the conference committee for the National Defense Authorization Act of 2018 by Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday. The committee will be responsible for planning different aspects of national defense legislation to be considered next year.
“It’s a privilege to serve on this critical committee as we determine our country’s defense and national security priorities for the future,” Lucas said. “I look forward to offering my perspective throughout the process to protect important programs and eliminate wasteful spending.”
Lucas is the Vice Chairman of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee.
