Three Legislative Seats to be Decided on Tuesday

Three special elections are set for Tuesday to decide seats in the Oklahoma Legislature. Voters will decide who will fill the open spots in Senate District 45, Senate District 37 and House District 76.

In SD 45, Republican Paul Rosino faces Democrat Steven Vincent. They are vying to replace Kyle Loveless who resigned after an investigation into his campaign finances. The district runs through south Oklahoma City and its suburbs.

The Tulsa area has two seats to decide on Tuesday. Dan Newberry is stepping down from the SD 37 seat to accept a private sector job. Republican Brian O’Hara faces Democrat Allison Ikley-Freeman to replace him. HD 76 is open due to the untimely death of Rep. David Brumbaugh earlier this year. Republican Ross Ford and Democrat Chris Van Landingham are competing for the seat.

Several cities and counties are holding elections on Tuesday as well.
