House Speaker Charles McCall and the House GOP caucus Thursday presented a plan to raise teacher pay over six years to the top of the region. However, the Oklahoma Education Association called it a political stunt because it has no defined funding stream. The Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock the Professional Oklahoma Educators organization is backing the plan which would increase an entry-level teacher’s pay by $1,580.
