The latest edition of the Sooner Survey is out, this one about the proposed income tax cuts now being discussed. Here are the questions and the responses:
1. As you may know, it has been proposed that
Oklahoma eliminate some tax credits currently in
place as a way to offset a decrease in the state
income tax. By eliminating some tax credits, we
could reduce Oklahoma’s state income tax from a
current rate of 5.25% to 4.75%. Would you favor or
oppose eliminating some tax credits in the state to
reduce the state income tax to 4.75%. (After
response, ask:) Would you say you would strongly
