State Testing Results Available in May

Just in time for the summer break, parents can learn how their students performed on the state achievement tests. The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) announced the students’ state test results for Grades 3-8 should be available on the Oklahoma School Testing Program’s (OSTP) website by the end of May.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister says OSDE has been working to make the test results available earlier than previous years.

“These timely results will give educators and families academic momentum for their child’s next grade,” she said. “Moreover, this information can help equip families to combat the dreaded summer learning ‘slide’ that often forces educators to review copious amounts of material once school starts in August.”

Families can access the OSTP Portal on the oklaschools.com dashboard by clicking the “Your Student” tab or directly at https://okparentportal.emetric.net/login. The portal also contains OSTP results for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years. Families will need to get the student’s State Testing Number from their local school to access the site.

“State assessments cannot measure all that our students know, but they are an important tool that helps identify academic progress and measure individual student growth year over year,” Hofmeister said. “Measuring what matters is one way we can ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve academic success.”
