Horn Throws Support Behind Financial Literacy and Senior Protections Bills

Congresswoman Kendra Horn voted for three measures that are meant to bolster financial literacy among young adults and senior citizens, as well as, a measure to examine financial exploitation of seniors who invest.

H.Res. 327 encourages public-private partnerships to promote financial literacy among students and young adults.

H.R. 1876 is called the Senior Security Act of 2019 and would create a task force within the Securities and Exchange Commission to examine issues of financial exploitation that senior investors face.

H.Res 328 supports the protect of seniors against scams through financial literacy.

“It is our job to empower individuals and protect our most vulnerable residents from scammers,” Horn said. “That is exactly what these bills do.”
