Sparks flew this week during the Senate Appropriations Committee hearing to confirm former Senator Mike Mazzei as Governor Stitt’s Secretary of Budget. The Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes Committee Chairman Roger Thompson confronted Mazzei because state agencies were told not to share information with legislators unless a representative from the governor’s office was there.

Perfectly reasonable that the Governor would like for a representative to be present should budget numbers be discussed outside proceedings. Fiscal responsibility by our Governor which has been sorely lacking in administrations past!
