Oklahoma Tribes Provide $13 Billion Economic Impact

As possible gaming compact negotiations get off to a rocky start, a new study sponsored by the Oklahoma Tribal Finance Consortium reveals Oklahoma’s 38 federally recognized tribes provide nearly $13 billion of economic impact to the state. Oklahoma’s News 4 KFOR-TV reports the study shows the tribes in 2017 accounted for $4.6 billion in wages and benefits, $200 million in transportation infrastructure, $213 million in Medicaid expenditures at tribal healthcare facilities and $198 million to support Oklahoma education.

Would like to have seen some of that $200 million spent on roads on IOWA land, they have spent “0” to improve the roads out here.

I’d like to see how much is lost to state from their NOT buying Oklahoma tags.
