Stitt Appoints Rowe to OK Supreme Court

He started his career in government when he was a senior in high school, now Dustin Rowe is an Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice. He was appointed by Governor Stitt this week.

Rowe was elected mayor of Tishomingo in 1994 at the age of 18 years old. He was the youngest serving mayor and served two terms.

Since that time, Rowe has his own law firm, served as a judge for the Chickasaw Nation District Court and is the Chairman of the Johnston County Bar Association.

“Mr. Rowe is an accomplished lawyer and dedicated Oklahoman who has an impressive legal background,” said Stitt. “His proven record in both his private practice and as a tribal court judge speaks to his qualifications to join the highest court in Oklahoma. Rowe’s reputation of fairness, passion for the legal system, and heart for his community is evident. I am confident he will serve our state with integrity in order to support and defend the state’s constitution and uphold the rule of law.”

Rowe replaces Justice Patrick Wyrick who was appointed to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
