Oklahoma City Fraternal Order of Police President John George is declaring a run for the House District 66 seat. That particular seat will move from northeast Oklahoma to the central part of the state when redistricting is finalized later this year. Representative Jadine Nollan currently holds the seat, but is term limited in 2022 when the seat moves.
George will run for the HD 66 seat as a Republican.
“It has been my honor to be chosen by my colleagues in the Oklahoma City Police Department to represent them as FOP president for the past decade. Now it will be an honor to represent the people of District 66,” said George, who has served on the Oklahoma City Police Department since 1991.
George says he’s conservative, will defend the Constitution, protect the Second Amendment, fight for the unborn, stand for parental choice in education and reduce government and taxes.
“It was the honor of a lifetime to meet President Trump who put America first and was the best friend law enforcement has ever had in the Oval Office. With the woke left attacking patriots, veterans and law enforcement across America, I believe my lifetime of experience as a police officer has never been more needed. I intend to fight against the cancel culture mentality that grips our country today,” George said.
George has been elected president of the Oklahoma City FOP since 2012, and is the Oklahoma FOP National Trustee.
