Stitt, Hofmeister Release Campaign Fundraising Figures

Governor Kevin Stitt and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister have been busy adding to the coffers for their 2022 gubernatorial campaigns.

Stitt’s bid to be reelected for another term has donations flowing in. According to the Tulsa World, Stitt’s fourth quarter fundraising reached $1.19 million. (Here is a link to the Tulsa World story.)

During the last quarter of 2022, the Joy of OK campaign announced it had raised more than $540,000 during those first three months of the campaign.

Hofmeister has switched from Republican to Democrat to run a campaign against Stitt, who will likely face at least two Republicans for the nomination. Hofmeister will face former state senator Connie Johnson for the Democratic nomination.

Former state senator Ervin Yen has switched his party affiliation from Republican to Independent to run in the race.

Natalie Bruno has formed a campaign as a Libertarian for governor.

Official fourth quarter 2021 campaign fund raising filings are due to the Ethics Commission at the end of the month.
