House Sends Stricter Texas Style Abortion Ban Bill to Governor

The Oklahoma House on Thursday sent House Bill 4327 to Governor Kevin Stitt, who has indicated he will sign any pro-life measure sent to his desk. The measure would allow someone to file a lawsuit against an abortion provider or anyone who “aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or otherwise.”

Tulsa Word’s Randy Krehbiel writes both sides of the issue agree this would end legal abortions in Oklahoma, if signed into law.
