As President Joe Biden has signaled he would begin limiting the offensive weapons sent to Israel, Congressman Kevin Hern is critical of the move.
Biden has drawn a line at a major offensive in the Gaza city of Rafah. The President has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that if they proceed with the offensive, they should have a clear plan to keep civilians out of harm’s way.
This comes as the war ignited by the Hamas attack on Israel October 7, 2023, rages as talks of a ceasefire took a strange turn. Israel also took over a crossing in Rafah.
“Joe Biden’s move to block crucial shipments to Israel is unthinkable. Israel is fighting for survival, attacked from multiple terrorist groups funded by Iran. Biden’s hollow claims of ‘ironclad’ support are really nothing more than lip service. This decision endangers not only Israel’s security, but also the lives of Americans still held hostage by Hamas,” said Hern.
