Grand Jury Calls Out Misspending of GEER Funds

While there are no indictments, the state’s multi-county grand jury blamed Governor Kevin Stitt and then Every Kid Counts Oklahoma director Ryan Walters, without naming them, for misspending of pandemic relief funds. Walters is now the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Stitt alleged the grand jury has become weaponized by Attorney General Gentner Drummond.

A spokesman for Walters blamed the vendor for the misspending.
