The Association of Oklahoma General Contractors (AOGC) is throwing its endorsement behind Gentner Drummond to be the next Governor of Oklahoma. AOGC represents road construction contractors in Oklahoma. Drummond is currently the Oklahoma Attorney General.
“The Association of Oklahoma General Contractors is endorsing Gentner Drummond for Governor because he is committed to investing in our state’s infrastructure, creating good-paying jobs and fighting against federal overreach and regulatory attacks on business,” said AOGC Executive Director Bobby Stem. “Our membership is very excited about supporting Attorney General Drummond because he has been a proven advocate for investing in roads and bridges, and he is a businessman who understands that our industry needs a stable and favorable regulatory environment to keep costs down and job growth up.”
Drummond announced his run for governor on January 13. He says he is honored to have the AOGC endorsement.
“I am honored to have the support of the Association of Oklahoma General Contractors, which is full of individuals who work every day to improve our infrastructure and connect our communities,” said Drummond. “I am grateful for the men and women who work tirelessly, often in dangerous situations, to build the roads and bridges that enable interstate commerce and promote economic development. As Oklahoma’s next governor, I will prioritize investment in our state’s infrastructure. I am honored to have their support and look forward to working together to improve our great state.”
