U.S. Senator James Lankford is calling for the Democrats to stop blocking the consideration of the recently introduced Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. It requires health care practitioners to provide care for newborns who survive abortions.
The legislation includes clear expectations of care, hospital transfer requirements, mandatory reporting, private rights of action for moms, and reasonable criminal penalties for health care providers who violate the law.
