The U.S. House Subcommittee on Conservation, Research, and Biotechnology held its first hearing on Thursday with Chairman Frank Lucas promoting passage of the Farm Bill. During his opening remarks and other times during the hearing, Lucas took the opportunity to outline reasons to pass the legislation.
The hearing was entitled “Supporting Farmers, Strengthening Conservation, Sustaining Working Lands.” It primarily focused on conservation efforts.
