GOP Insurance Commissioner Race Heads to August Runoff

Two Republicans out of the four-person field will move onto a runoff for the nomination in the Insurance Commissioner race. Bob Sullivan took the most votes at 37.37%. He’ll face Marty Quinn in the August 25th runoff. Quinn took 27.68% of the vote.

Of the two other GOP challengers, Greta Shuler received 17.57%, while Chris Merideth had 17.37%.

The winner of the runoff will face Democrat Craig MacIntyre in the November General Election.
