American Farmers & Ranchers has endorsed Oklahoma State Treasurer Todd Russ in his campaign for re-election.
In a statement released Thursday, AFR Cooperative President Scott Blubaugh said Russ has supported Oklahoma agriculture through fiscal management policies and agricultural lending initiatives.
“Todd Russ has proven himself as a steadfast advocate for Oklahoma’s agricultural producers and rural economies,” Blubaugh said.
Russ said he was honored to receive the endorsement and pledged continued support for Oklahoma farmers, ranchers and rural communities.
AFR cited Russ’ support for programs including the Agriculture Linked Deposit Program, which provides low-interest capital for farmers and ranchers.
The organization said it endorses candidates who align with pro-agriculture and pro-rural priorities.
