Boatman Sets Sights on Open Senate Seat

Oklahoma Representative Jeff Boatman is looking to make a move across the Capitol rotunda. He is declaring his candidacy for the Senate District 25 seat which will be open since Senator Joe Newhouse is not running for reelection.

Boatman was elected to the House District 67 (Bixby, Tulsa) seat in 2018. He’s currently the chair of the House Government Modernization and Technology Committee.

“I am very proud of the work we have done during my time in the state House. We have fought back against federal overreach, protected Oklahoma values, invested heavily in education, empowered parents, and built a historically strong savings balance to protect our state from any future downturns. I also worked with victim service providers, law enforcement and the Attorney General to create the Human Trafficking Response Unit. Oklahoma is on the right track, but there is still so much work to do. Oklahoma’s future depends on sound decision-making and principled leadership. I am honored to offer my experience and dedication to serve the people of Senate District 25,” said Boatman in his announcement as a candidate.
